TERMS OF USE FOR THE PLATFORM

VisitAarhus’ DISCOVER (hereinafter the ”Platform”) is made available by Fonden VisitAarhus, Balticagade 19, 1 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark, CVR-nr. 17579339 (hereinafter “VisitAarhus”, ”we”, ”us”, ”our”).

The Platform is comprised by an online platform, which is intended to provide travel recommendations and inspiration for travelers to the Aarhus region of Denmark based on questions posed by us and responses from the user accessing the site (“You”, “Your”).

When you use the Platform, or when you click and accept these terms and conditions, you accept the contents of the below (hereinafter the ”Terms”)

1. Use is subject to the Terms

Subject to the Terms, you can exploit the Platform by replying to the questions and receive suggestions for sights, experiences, and things to do in the area applicable to the Platform with attractions and sights to consider.

When you begin using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the Terms. You should carefully read the Terms before use.

If you cannot accept these Terms, you cannot use the Platform.

All use of the Platform is at your own risk and is made without liability to VisitAarhus.

2. Collection of data

As part of your use of the Platform, we collect information on your responses such as time of year for travels, types of travel companion(s), your areas of interests and similar information in order to provide you with recommendations as set out above. This information may be shared with our partners and affiliates for general consumer insights, but is completely anonymous and in no way correlated or shared along with your name or your e-mailadress but is only shared on an aggregated level, i.e. aggregated of travelers in an area expressing interest in certain sights or activities.

We do not collect personal data information (such as your name and e-mail address) unless you have provided a separate consent for us to do so. Any such consent and use of personal data information will be subject to our privacy policy.

We may automatically register your IP-address and there may be used cookies for the collection of information for technical or statistical nature to measure traffic on the Platform as well as correlation of traffic on the destinations and areas of interest set out in the Platform or as provided to you. A cookie consent request is presented to you when accessing the Platform’s landing page and our placing of cookies will subject to the terms provided in our Cookie Policy.

3. Rights are reserved

All material on the Platform and its subsites are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Unless otherwise specified, VisitAarhus owns or licenses the intellectual property rights pertaining to the Platform and the material disclosed on the Platform (including but not limited to pictures, text, and other content).

You are not entitled to copy, reproduce, or otherwise make available any of the material on the Platform on any external media without consent from VisitAarhus or its licensors such as for commercial purposes.

4. Limitation of liabilit

The information on the Platform is made available without any guarantee and are of a general nature, only. The information provided is made with as much accuracy as possible, but VisitAarhus does not make any warranty for accuracy, availability, pricing or otherwise. We may without notice discontinue or temporarily make unavailable any and all information.

You are liable for the observation of all applicable laws, including local legislation, which may apply.

5. Applicable law and venue

The Terms are subject to and shall be interpreted in accordance with Danish law, disregarding any international choice of law rules, insofar that the application of such regulation would entail the application of a different country’s laws than Denmark.

Any dispute which cannot be settled amicably shall be brought before the Danish courts.
